Roco is our oldest living male, and is the second male we have owned that has achieved exceptional longevity (Rottweilers over 13 years of age). He will be celebrating his 14th birthday this May!

Roco vom Brandenburger Tor was imported in 2007. He was bred, shown, and trained in Germany. Since his arrival, he has shown in many different Sieger shows, being V rated at all, and becoming the 2007 USRC Wine Country Rottweiler Club's Select Adult Male under judge Helmut Weiler from Germany's ADRK. After only a month being here, he earned his AD (a 12.5 mile endurance test) at the 2007 ARV NW Regional Sieger Show in Washington state. He also competed in the USRC BARK Protection Tournament, earning a 91 with his handler, who had only practiced the routine once with him since Roco arrived in America. Regardless, Roco excelled in his courage test and impressed the audience. In the end of October, Roco competed at the 2007 ARV National Sieger Show for his Körung (advanced breeding title), which he passed. In only three months, Roco achieved so much that many dogs do not achieve in their lifetime! We are so pleased with him and are honored to introduce him into our breeding program.

His mother, Imme vom Brandenburger Tor, has been called one of the best working females in Germany. Imme is not only pink papered herself, she has also earned her BH, SchH/VPG III, AD, and ZTP. Roco's father, Janosch von der Scherau, is an extremely accomplished working and show dog in Germany. Janosch is from Gesa von der Scherau, mother of von der Scherau's famous "M" litter, featuring Muck, Merlin, and Morro von der Scherau. Janosch and Imme passed on beautiful breed type and stellar temperaments to Roco.
